AquaSanTec produces and installs complete dry sanitation toilets for institutions such as schools, hospitals and clinics. Normally sited over a pit, these toilets comprise of both a self-supporting slab and superstructure that are assembled together using nuts and bolts. Being "pre-fab" they are mobile and can be moved once the pit is full. All slabs and panels are manufactured using rotational moulded and are double walled with a PE foam core for added strength and rigidity. The toilets are assembled in a line, to provide a number of connected stances. Typically we offer a 6 stance solution, which comprises of 4 standard toilets, with one urinal / washroom and one disabled toilet. To meet this design we have the appropriate different slab designs to suit the use. Click here for summary of slabs available. Always included in any of our toilet configurations is a simple handwash tank to encourage washing after toilet use. There are three types of toilets: Mobilet® Mobile Pit Toilet Standard Keyhole Design The traditional pit toilet where both urine and faeces collect in the pit. Mobi-Loo® Mobile Pit Toilet Urine Diversion Design When sitting on or squatting over the toilet, the design of the urine diversion toilet enables a natural separation of urine from faeces. The faeces fall into the pit while urine is diverted into a soak pit or into a field. Superstructure and Slab dimensions are the same as the Mobilet®. The benefits of Urine Diversion are;
Eko-loo® Mobile Toilet - Urine Diversion Design for above ground use Where even shallow pits are not possible, the Eko-loo toilet enables the collection of faeces in a container. Once full the container is exchanged and the faeces allowed to decompose over a period of 6 months. Ash is added after every use to hasten the decomposition and drying process. |
